Got a chance to try out the Nest sheet over the weekend. Perfect for the hut mattress. Hot night with no sticking to the mattress cover and easy to throw a light cover over top. Recommended !
L
I’m going to enjoy using this on my next hike. Good quality, good design and packs up small for carrying.
J
Bought for our daughter who loves tramping so this will be a great, light addition to her pack.
R
Used this for the first time this week and it definitely didn't disappoint. Love the print. The wee carry bag to the draw string to keep it in place...spot on.
A
Great small enough bag to carry it in, good quality 👌
K
I used my kea nest on Kepler walk in April im converted. The drawstring kept it secure over the mattress. T’was comfort plus without the plastic mattress feels!
Easy to pack & use. It’s 100% worth the investment.
G
Absolutely loved this so I didn’t get the ick from the hut mats. Could use sleeping bag as a blanket instead and was so much more comfortable
N
This is the perfect piece of kit if you don't like to be trapped in your sleeping bag, but can't abide the mattress, or wrapping yourself in a silk bag (like I did before getting this). You nailed it. Stays on the mattress, and the little bag is great for holding the bits you want near you. Good Work Kea!
J
I used my new kea sheet yesterday night at the pinnacles hut.I loved it so much no touching the plastic mattress cover, loved the little bag to put all my important bits from earplugs glasses phone loo roll for the night brilliant. My hut nest was the envy of all my friends
Loved it so much as I hate the feeling of plastic doc mattresses
C
Used for first time on the weekend, really happy and easy to use, partly wish there was some way to use it as almost a fitted sheet if you using a sleeping mat under your sleeping bag so you can't fall off it etc.
S
I hate sticky sweaty hut mattresses almost as much as I hate being in a sleeping bag/straight jacket. This piece of kit is a life changer. Love love ❤️. Best thing ever.

Perfect purchase to avoid the grubby doc mattress spread out your sleeping bag any have a great night sleep
l
This is a great product! The difference of temp between the cover and the doc mattress was wild. Admittedly it was already a warm night but the sheet felt warm while the mattress was so cold to the touch. I laid it out in my sleeping bag and bundled it into the sleeping bag cover. It took up no space at all but I could totally see it being the difference between freezing and comfortable.
R
Great idea to be more comfortable in your Doc bunk with the pillow pocket. The small pocket for your phone/torch/headlamp or glasses is so useful. The person I gifted this to wears reading glasses and thought the pocket to keep them safe and easily to hand in the night is great
N
So nice to have a fitted sheet to mimic the comforts of home. Loved that my inflatable pillow stayed put, and so handy having the pocket for head torch etc.
A
I was given one of these as a present. So impressed that now the whole family has one for tramping adventures
C
Just got back from a week in the bush. As a bigger guy who doesn’t like being confined to the sleeping bag this was an absolute game changer. A little bit loose on the mattress so I’ll need to look at tightening the cord more next time but over all a great piece of kit, that I will never leave out of my pack.
S
Loved this product, it made sleeping on the DOC mattresses more comfortable and prevented that annoying squeaking noise when you move in the night. Plus the pillow compartment was an great addition.
S
I used this recently at two DOC huts in the Kawekas. Easy to fit, and makes the mattress more comfortable. Stops the sticky PVC feel entirely.
T
Love the friendly surface between the plastic mattress and myself. The cross-sectional graphics depicting each of the Great Walks is a regular (nightly) inspiration for me to continue in the pursuit of undertaking more of them. It is also a great conversational piece with other trampers….. “which ones have you done?”. Love it!
K
The bed cover is perfect and my partner loves it
R
Great product love the graphics
A
Very good, increased warmth, didn't have to chase my pillow around the bed and improved hygiene
T
The best tramping purchase - would highly recommend! The girls I went with all wanted one. The pocket on the side is very handy too.
L
The Kea Nest is lightweight, compact, and fits the DOC mattress perfectly. It kept my inflatable pillow stable, and the small pocket was very handy for my torch. Using a quilt as a blanket, it almost felt like sleeping at home.
J
Hygienic covering. Perfect.
J
Highly recommend! Just hiked the heaphy track, the kea next was great! Loved the super handy pocket and the pillow holder! Absolute game changer!!
M
I’m looking forward to using my kea nest on a great walk soon. It’s a great design. I was surprised at how soft the fabric feels- will be great to sleep on.
A
The envy of every tramper. Such a cool concept. Packs down small, no touching noisy mattresses. A great purchase.
J
Absolutely love the design with all the Great Walks of NZ, made of nice soft fabric which feels amazing
S
When I was too hot I could just relax on mattress cover instead of a cold mattress.
J
Nicely made. Cool design. Yet to use in a DOC hut but imagine will be great !
